The Kurdish Cultural Association in Geneva celebrated the end of the Kurdish language teaching section in Geneva

On Wednesday, June 26, 2024, the Kurdish Cultural Association of the canton of Geneva organized a ceremony to mark the end of the first semester of Kurdish language courses, in the Association's hall in Geneva. In addition to the association's officials, a large number of parents and relatives of the children were present at this ceremony. During the ceremony, the association's head, Mr. #Ezîz_Kalo, delivered a speech in which he discussed the most important activities of the association since its establishment until today.


He also expressed the desire of the team and members of the association to continue these activities that support the Kurdish community in Switzerland, especially the children, and to develop other programs and projects within the same framework. Mr. #Kalo also emphasized the importance of preserving Kurdish culture and identity. He urged parents to support their children in learning their mother tongue and in their daily lives. Finally, Mr. Kalo thanked, on behalf of the Association, the Department of Public Instruction of the canton of Geneva and the City Hall for their support and for providing opportunities for learning the mother tongue.


Then, teacher Adem Yildirim also spoke. He emphasized the support for the language, the linguistic development of the children, and their love for learning their mother tongue. In a joyful and festive atmosphere at the Kurdish Cultural Association of Geneva, certificates were awarded to the students. At the end of the ceremony, thanks were extended to all participants, and wishes for success in the future as well as good holidays were expressed for all the children.
